Malden Resident Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize

The man purchased the winning ticket at a popular restaurant in a nearby community.

MALDEN, MA — A resident hit the proverbial jackpot after purchasing a winning ticket for a Massachusetts State Lottery game worth seven figures.

Weiju Huang is the recipient of a $1 million prize as part of the $4,000,000 Cash Doubler instant ticket game. Huang was elected to receive a one-time payment of $650,000 and said the first thing he plans to use the money for is paying off a new vehicle he recently purchased.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Kowloon Restaurant at 948 Broadway on Route One in Saugus. According to the MSL, Huang bought the ticket on Monday, April 27. Kowloon will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale of the ticket. The Chinese restaurant also offers the Keno game in addition to selling scratch tickets.

The $4,000,000 Cash Doubler game launched on Feb. 17 of this year, with tickets going on sale for $10. Players can win up to the namesake amount of $4 million. There has been one $4 million winner thus far.

The Massachusetts State Lottery shares a daily list of winning tickets that can be found online.
