Malden Schools Closed Monday, Parking Ban, Trash Delays, More

Monday will be yet another snow day for Malden Public Schools.

The snow emergency parking ban will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday. People have until 8 a.m. to get their car out of emergency lot or risk being towed.

"To avoid being ticketed or towed, you must seek off-street parking," Malden said on Facebook. "For residents without access to off-street parking, there are 6 locations for to park free of charge and these lots are available to be parked in as of 6PM. These locations are the Early Learning Center, Beebe, Forestdale, Ferryway, Linden and Salemwood Schools. Vehicles can remain in these lots until the snow emergency is lifted. You must monitor 311 to find out when you must remove your vehicle from these lots."

The Malden Public Library, Senior Center, and Teen Center, will be open Monday but could be delayed.

Trash pickup will be canceled Monday and will push forward 1 day for the remainder of the week.
