Malden Sex Trafficker Gets 21 Years In Prison

MALDEN, MA — A Haitian man was sentenced in federal court in Boston Tuesday after being found guilty of multiple counts of sex trafficking. Reginald Abraham, 51, trafficked four women out of his homes in Malden and Dracut from 2012 to 2016, according to the U.S. Attorney's office. Abraham was convicted of four counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion in July.

Authorities began investigating Abraham in January 2017 after multiple victims came forward, the USAO said. Abraham would usually approach the women through social media and try to convince them to live with him, authorities said. He would pick up his victims, who were all from Maine, and drive them to his residences in Malden and Dracut. Once there, he forced the women into prostitution through physical violence, threats, rape and giving and withholding drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine, according to the USAO.

Abraham was sentenced 21 years and 10 months in prison and 15 years of supervised release Tuesday. He was also ordered to pay $728,000 in restitution to his four victims.

Abraham will face deportation upon completion of his sentence.
