Malden Student-Athlete awarded All-American Honors
Andrew Caulfield is one of eight student-athletes receiving the honor at Northern Essex Community College
Malden resident Andrew Caulfield, a freshman at Northern Essex Community College (NECC) in Haverhill, Ma. is one of eight student-athletes at the college who recently received All-American honors for academic achievements during the 2017/2018 school year. Caulfield, a member of the NECC Knights baseball squad, batted .320 for the season and posted a 3.85 GPA for the academic year. In order to be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must have obtained a grade point average for the year of 3.60 or higher.
Caulfield is no stranger to the baseball fields and diamonds of Malden, having played little league up through senior Babe Ruth in addition to playing on several all-star squads. Andrew is currently on the roster of the Intercity League powerhouse, Malden Andre Chiefs.
