Police said the woman placed several cosmetic items in her bag before "stiff-arming" a worker who tried confronting her on her way out.

MALDEN, MA — A suspected thief "stiff-armed" an employee of a cosmetic store while leaving with several items, police said. The woman placed the items in her bag while she walked through the store Oct. 2, according to police.

"It's possible that she forgot to pay for the items after she placed them in her bag, but when confronted by one of the employees, the stiff-arm out of the door leads investigator [sic] to believe she was either in a rush, or it was straight-up 'strong-armed robbery,'" police said in a statement.
