UPDATED: 27-Year-Old Man Shot in Malden; Bullets Enter House

UPDATED: A 27-year-old man was shot just before midnight Sunday night in the area of 280 Ferry Street, according to Malden Police Chief Kevin Molis.

Stray rounds struck the house, according to the police chief.

“Fortunately, no one (inside the house) was hurt,” Chief Molis said.

Officers were called to Ferry Street about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, for the reports of gunshots. Officers found evidence of the alleged shooting across the street in the park. Around the same time, Malden Police received a call from a local hospital that they were treating a man who had been allegedly shot.

The victim’s injuries appeared to be non-life threatening, according to police. Police did not release the victim’s name. No arrests have been made.

The incident remains under investigation.
