Movie Night At The Malden Public Library

Free movie. Family Entertainment.

Join us for Movie Night at the Malden Public Library on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, from 6:00-8:00pm. We will be showing the latest film directed by Lasse Hallstrom starring Helen Mirren and Om Puri. The movie is based on the book, The Hundred-Foot Journey, by Richard Morais, which The New York Times Book Review describes as, “The…charm lies in its improbability: it’s ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ meets ‘Ratatouille.’”

Madame Mallory (Mirren) lives for culinary perfection at her highly regarded classical French restaurant nestled in a scenic village in the south of France. When Hassan Kadan, an aspiring chef from India, arrives in town with his family, Madame Mallory begins a plot to sabotage the newly opened Maison Mumbai, which is a mere hundred feet across the street from her restaurant. The Chicago Sun-Times describes the film as “truly delicious to watch….”

This film is free and open to the public and is accessible. Movie times are approximate. Please call the Malden Public Library at 781-324-0218 for more information. Rated PG (122 min.)
