Join us for Movie Night at the Malden Public Library on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, from 6:00-8:00pm. We will be showing the recent summer blockbuster film based on the book, Jurassic World, by Michael Crichton. The movie stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and was produced by Steven Spielberg. Film critic Richard Roeper writes, “[the movie] is pure…wall-to-wall fun.” It grossed over $651 million worldwide.
Twenty-two years after the tragic events at Jurassic Park on the island of Isla Nublar, a new dinosaur theme park is attracting people from all of the world with new and more interactive dinosaur experiences, including a petting zoo, a water show, and cool gyroscopes visitors can ride in while dinosaurs chase them. But it’s not enough. The public wants bigger, ‘badder,’ and meaner dinosaurs. Enter the Indominus Rex, a genetically modified nightmare of a dinosaur who escapes and wreaks havoc on the island. Entertainment Weekly writes that the movie is, “…easily the franchise’s most thrilling sequel yet.” And Rotten Tomatoes gives the film an 80% audience approval rating.
