Mystic Valley Public Health Coalition Holding National Recovery Month Celebration
National Recovery Month Celebration at Ell Pond Gazebo Melrose, MA on Tuesday, September 27th from 6:00-7:00PM

Mental health and substance use disorders are increasingly prevalent in our communities and it is imperative that individuals in Massachusetts understand how to seek and achieve physical as well as mental wellness. National Recovery Month has been observed annually in the month of September since 1989 in order to spread the message that:
- Behavioral and mental health are essential to overall wellness;
- Prevention works;
- Treatment is effective; and
- People do recover
The Mystic Valley Public Health Coalition, which partners to serve the cities and towns of Malden, Medford, Melrose, Stoneham, Reading and Wakefield, is hosting a Recovery Month Celebration on Tuesday, September 27th at Ell Pond Gazebo at 690 Main Street in Melrose, MA from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. We ask that anyone in recovery, who has family struggling with, or has lost a loved one to substance use disorders to please join us. We will celebrate those who are in recovery, but will also honor those we have lost. Additionally, this event is open to anyone in the community who supports substance use prevention activities and wants to support the cause.
