New Revere Market Basket Opening Sunday

The new Revere Market Basket at Northgate Shopping Center is opening Sunday, Oct. 26, Revere Mayor Daniel Rizzo announced Tuesday.

The store, on Squire Road, has been finished but unopened for roughly a year. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the store at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30.

The store will be the closest Market Basket for many Malden residents – some will still be closer to the one at 170 Everett Ave. in Chelsea.

Market Basket CEO Arthur T. Demoulas promised to get the Revere store “back on track” after regaining control of the company in August.
