Obituary: Arlene Driscoll, Lifelong Malden Resident

Arlene (Koretz) Driscoll passed away at the Glen Ridge Nursing Home on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014. She was 91.

Arlene was a lifelong resident of Malden. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield where she worked for many years, and she enjoyed traveling.

Arlene was the devoted wife of 35 years to the late William L. Driscoll. She was the beloved mother of Barbara Barrett and her husband Thomas of Litchfield, New Hampshire, and Cheryl Maltese and her husband Kenneth of Everett. Arlene was the sister of the late Al Koretz, Kay Shine, Eva Fradkin, Sophie Hutnick and Julius, Sydney and Abraham Koretz. She was the cherished grandmother of David Maltese, Susan Botta, and Thomas and Kathleen Barrett. Arlene was the great grandmother of Madison, Thomas, Charles, Matthew, Edward, Mason and Andrew. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden, on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. A visiting hour will be held from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
