Obituary: Edward DeMase, 66

DeMase died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a fall.

Mr. Edward C. DeMase, 66, of Lynn, formerly of Malden, died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a fall.

He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (Malone) DeMase. Born and raised in Malden, he was the son of the late Americo and Edith (Denning) DeMase. He had lived in Malden for many years before moving to Lynn 15 years ago.

Edward had worked as a painter and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was also a friend of Bill W. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Edward DeMase and Joseph DeMase and his wife Kristi, all of Malden; three grandchildren: D'anje, Tyler and Bella; his siblings: Susan Ruiz of Sacramento, California, Edith Varney of Methuen, Anthony DeMase of Erie, Pennsylvania, Arthur DeMase of Dracut and Vincent DeMase of Everett; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Danielle DeMase and brother of the late Americo DeMase.

His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
