Obituary For Michael J. Lancelotta, A 'Free Spirit' Raised In Malden

Michael J. Lancelotta passed away to the Spirit World on February 5, 2012 in St. George, Bermuda as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident while on vacation, at the age of 48. Michael, Chan Wakan yuha mini "Walks with the Holy Tree" was proud of his Native-American heritage. He enjoyed traveling and was often described as a Free Spirit.

Born, raised and educated in Malden, Michael grew up in the Maplewood section of Malden and graduated from Malden High School. He was a Member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Rhode Island Council.

He was the beloved son of Virginia Lancelotta and the late Victor Lancelotta Jr. Loving brother of Victor Lancelotta III, Lucille Herrick, Joseph Lancelotta and the late Lorraine and Dominic Lancelotta. Loving Uncle of Ari, Kenneth, Anthony and Monica.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday February 13 at the Sacred Hearts Church (next door to the Funeral Home) at 10AM. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-6pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
