Obituary: Grace Winslow, Longtime Malden Resident

Winslow died Tuesday, Dec. 2. She was 84.

Grace J. (Gangemi) Winslow passed away on Tuesday, D. 2, 2014. She was 84.

Grace was a longtime resident of Malden. She worked for many years for Mobil Oil Co. and the Gas and Electric Credit Union.

Grace was the devoted wife of the late Jack Winslow. She was the beloved mother of Cathy Foley and her husband John of Palmer, Sandy Taglieri and her husband John of Melrose and John K. Winslow of Worcester. Grace was the dear sister of Catherine, Peter and Frank Gangemi, all of Malden, and the late Anthony and Steven Gangemi. She was the cherished grandmother of Cpt. Justin Astroth, U.S. Army, and his wife Candyce, Joseph Astroth III and his wife Elizabeth and Jacky Lee Taglieri. Grace was the aunt of Steven and Anthony Gangemi, Maria Tamagna and many other nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden, on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 9 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St., Malden, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home from 2-7 p.m. Private interment will be on Monday, Dec. 8, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
