Obituary: Gregory Errico, 45, Lifelong Malden Resident
Errico died unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 1.

Gregory Errico passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014.
He was 45 years old and a lifelong resident of Malden. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1987 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon returning home from the service, Greg attended Bunker Hill Community College and enrolled in the surgical technician program.

After a short time working in an area hospital’s operating room, Greg went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from UMass Boston, where he was active in the Veterans Upward Bound Program. He then went on to pursue his Master’s Degree in Human Services from UMass Boston. He had a vibrant, funny, outgoing personality and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Greg was the loving father of Nicole Errico of Malden; beloved son of Joan Surette of York, Maine; twin brother of Christopher Errico of Malden; brother of Laurie Crossley and her husband Kevin Crossley of Westford; brother of the late Serena Errico; grandson of Stella Surette and the late Joseph Surette. He also had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at 9 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St., Malden at 10 a.m.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 from 4-8 p.m.
