Obituary: Joseph 'Joe Candy' Candelora, Veteran, Postal Carrier

Candelora was a lifelong Malden resident. He also worked at Esposito's Bakery in Revere.

Joseph F. Candelora, “Joe Candy,” passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014. He was 66.

Joe was a lifelong resident of Malden. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Postal Carrier from the U.S. Postal Service and worked at Esposito’s Bakery in Revere.

Joe was the son of the late Louis and Angelina (Monte) Candelora. He was the father of Kimberly Candelora of Peabody. Joe was the brother of Walter Candelora and Lois Catino and her husband Anthony, both of Malden. He was the grandfather of Sean Fortier. Joe was the uncle of Lisa, Christine and Tony Catino, and godfather of Angelo Catino.

Visitation will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden, on Monday, Oct. 20, from 9-11 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
