Obituary: Loretta Patrie, Paraprofessional in Malden Public Schools

Loretta (Lucia) Patrie passed away on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014. She was 74.

Loretta was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1959. She was a longtime resident of Malden and worked as a paraprofessional for the Malden Public School System for many years.

Loretta was the daughter of the late Anthony and Aurora (Colasanti) Lucia. She was the beloved mother of Robert Patrie Jr. and his wife Sherri of Wilmington, Laurie D’Entremont of Melrose, Steve Patrie and his wife Theresa of Lynn and the late John Patrie. Loretta was the dear sister of Patrick Lucia and his wife Susan of Braintree and Tony Lucia and his wife Judy of North Reading. She was the cherished grandmother of Ryan Patrie and his wife Ashley, Kyle, Justin and Timothy Patrie, Cory, Jessica and Cameron D’Entremont, and Steven, Andrew and Matthew Patrie. Loretta was the loving niece of Violet Lucia of Medford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m. Please go directly to church. Visiting hours will be held at the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden, on Monday, Nov. 17, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
