Peter Sanangelo passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. He was 92.
Peter grew up in Revere and was a longtime resident of Malden. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II and founder and past commander of the ITAMS club in Revere. Peter was a truck driver for many years for Teamsters Local 25 and was a member and board of director at the VFW Post 639 in Malden.

Peter was the devoted husband of 56 years to Betty May (Wettergreen) Sanangelo. He was the beloved father of Kenneth Watson and his wife Iris of S. Yarmouth, Carl Watson and his wife Marilyn of Maine, Kathy Greenwood and her husband Bill of Virginia, David Watson and his wife Susan of Malden and Peter Sanangelo and his wife Debbie of Malden. Peter was the cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden, on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 9 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St., Malden, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133.
