Obituary: Robert Madden Jr., 49, Longtime Malden Resident

Robert N. Madden Jr. passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014. He was 49.

Robert was a longtime resident of Malden. He graduated from Cheverus School and went on to Malden Catholic High School, Malden High School and Everett High School. Robert was an avid sportsman and a heavy equipment operator for many years for Local 4.

Robert was the beloved son of Robert Madden of Melrose and Carole Madden and her longtime companion Ed Lucey of Malden. He was the loving father of John Colasanti and Nicholas Colasanti-Madden, both of Everett. Robert was the cherished longtime boyfriend of Sara Fader. He was the dear brother of Cheryl McMahon and her husband Derek of Pepperell. Robert was the nephew of Charles Madden and his wife Jane and Elizabeth Bucci. He was the uncle of Ciara and Colin McMahon. He is also survived by many cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a mass of Christian burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St., Malden, on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. (please go directly to church). Visiting hours will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden, on Friday from 3-6 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
