Obituary: William Cotter, of Malden

William C. III “Billy” Cotter, 72, a resident of Malden, formerly of North Reading, lost his battle to cancer at his home around his beloved family on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014.

Billy was the beloved father of Lynn Hallberg and her husband Michael of West Peabody and William C. Cotter IV of North Reading. He was the brother of Attorney Raymond A. Snow of Somerville and Florid and the late Donald B. Snow. Billy was also the cherished grandfather of Taylor, Ashley and Shaina Correggio and Jade Cotter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, Powder House Square, in Somerville on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral home service will take place on Tuesday morning, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Billy was a member of the Knights of Columbus of North Reading. Prior to his retirement, he was a teacher in the Medford Public Schools.
