Orange Line Service: Are There Delays Right Now?

Taking the Orange Line can be like playing Russian roulette with your commute. Two things are going against the Orange Line right now: 1.) It has been on a poor streak of late, and 2.) It's not even winter yet.

As we were reminded last winter, the cold famously hamstrings the MBTA. The Orange Line has already seen people frantically busting out windows to escape smoke-filled train cars among its several severe delays mucking up travel for thousands - and it's not even all that chilly out yet.

The MBTA has recently awarded a big contract to upgrade the Orange Line, though it remains to be seen whether it will tangibly impact commutes.

In the meantime, we've provided a few Twitter feeds for you to check daily before you leave en route to the Orange Line. The MBTA often updates its main Twitter account with real-time delays.
