Photo Gallery: Malden Boys Lacrosse Falls to Bedford

The Malden High boys lacrosse team lost to Bedford, 14-4, on Monday at Pine Banks Park.

Dimas Bordales and Christain Catricola both picked up their first goals of the year for the Malden High boys lacrosse team on Monday, but it wasn't enough as the Golden Tornadoes lost to Bedford 14-4 at Pine Banks Park. 

Paul Kiernan scored two goals to lead Malden and Nate Urban had an assist. 

Stanely Chan and TJ Ruddock split time in goal with Ruddock picking up eight saves in the second half.

"We struggled early on getting going on both offense and playing team defense," said head coach Brenden Maney. "We accumulated too many minutes in penalties and you cant give a team like Bedford extra looks at the cage or the score will remain lopsided.  We have to do a better job of doing the simple things, and we will."

Up next for Malden (2-8) is a home game against North Reading on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
