POLICE LOG: Man Apprehended After Foot Pursuit

Your daily police log for Wednesday, June 13.

A man was arrested following a foot chase with police Wednesday afternoon after neighbors reported two break-ins in a Bryant St. apartment.

Victor Pearson was arrested by Det. Michelet Montina and Capt. John Amirault after allegedly chasing the suspect through area backyards, Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said.

No further information on Pearson's age or location was immediately available due to ongoing maintenance with the department's computer system.

“Further investigation revealed he entered two apartments unlawfully by damaging the door frames and took various items, which were recovered,” Gatcomb wrote in an email. “No injuries to report.”

Scanner reports indicated Pearson was apprehended behind a dumpster near 350 Cross St.
