Truck Drives Into Utility Pole, Closes Route 1 During AM Commute
A New York man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after his truck snapped the pole in half, police said.

MALDEN, MA — A New York man was hospitalized after his truck snapped a utility pole in half near Kappy's Monday morning.
The driver of the truck, a 34-year-old man from the Bronx, was brought to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The crash was reported around 7:20 a.m. Power lines were strewn across the highway as thousands of Boston-bound North Shore commuters sat in standstill traffic for well over an hour Monday morning.
