Salemwood Principal Put On Leave As School Investigates Claims
Superintendent John Oteri said the claims, made by staff members, "do not in any way involve any of our students."

MALDEN, MA — Principal Jose Salgado has been placed on paid administrative leave as the school investigates complaints from staff members about him. Superintendent John Oteri would not expand on the nature of the complaints, but said in an email they "do not in any way involve any of our students."
Salgado was in his first year as Salemwood principal. He held a meet-and-greet with parents on Aug. 21.
Van Huynh, who was the assistant principal, will serve as acting principal.
