'Say It; Forget It. Write It; Regret It'
Sometimes, we don't want our computer to know what mischief we troublemakers are up to. (Originally written 19 July 2014.)

“Say it; forget it. Write it; regret it.”
On an episode of THE OFFICE, Michael asked Dwight why he writes things down in a notebook. Dwight answered, “To keep secrets from my computer.”
In this day and age, when we put everything in our computers -- appointments, pictures, names and addresses -- we forget that, sometimes, there are things we’d rather not memorialize.

Or, as THE PEOPLE’S COURT Judge Marilyn Milian always says: “Say it; forget it. Write it; regret it.”
A few days ago, a pal of mine wanted to know what was up with a particular issue we had both been following very closely. Of course, my first instinct was to fire an answer right back on the social media network through which we communicated.

Fortunately for both of us, I was at Revere Beach at the time, and it would have been difficult to find a wifi signal and answer him. (I’m too cheap to buy a data plan.)
I had time to think about it. I had a rather lengthy reply to his inquiry, and I really didn’t want to put it on my social network, even in a private message (PM). So, I waited till I got home and gave him a call.
Nothing documented. Nothing on the internet. My secret was safe from my computer.
