The Eagles were down but they were not out. They crawled back into the game scoring one in the fourth and five in the fifth to make the score 11-9. The Golden Knights added two in the sixth for a 13-9 score.  Mystic Valley scored a run in their half of the sixth setting up the Eagle heroics.

The tide began to turn in the top of the seventh when Rebecca Milley made a spectacular catch to save at least a double and allow the Eagles to get out of the inning unscathed. In the bottom half of the inning Milley, Sara Marriccino, Michelle Doherty and Joan Kinnon walked.  Milley and Marriccino scored on passed balls bringing the score to 13-12.  With the Eagles down a run, Rachel Tortora came up with up with no outs and two runners on. Tortora came through drilling a double to left field scoring Michelle Doherty and Joan Kinnon for a walk-off win.

The win was extra special for the Eagles as they said good bye to four seniors on their annual Senior Day.  Six-year starter Joan Kinnon, Emalee Thomas, Rebecca Milley and Leah Brown will all graduate this year but not before they lead the Eagles into the State Tournament which begins this week.
