WATCH: Malden Mayor Repeatedly Tries to Get an Absentee Ballot
In an early voting PSA, Mayor Christenson gets shot down repeatedly as he comes up with outlandish excuses for why he must vote absentee.
MALDEN, MA – Mayor Christenson found out the hard way that it's not always easy to vote absentee in Massachusetts, even if you run a city of 60,000 people.
In a new PSA touting the virtues of early voting, Christenson attempts to score an absentee ballot from City Hall, only to be shot down when he can't come up with a valid reason for being unable to hit the polls on Election Day.
Undeterred, Christenson returns and keeps getting rejected, coming up with more and more outlandish excuses each time. His reasons for being unable to vote on Election Day range from breaking his arm to being a secret agent on a mission.
