2/22
Special Meeting of the School Committee
- The School Committee is set to announce the finalists in the superintendent search. Current Superintendent John Oteri announced in November that he would not be seeking reappointment.
2/23
Rules and Ordinance Committee
- The committee will discuss an order to amend trash and recycling practices in the city that began over a year ago, with the goal of addressing resident concerns about trash blowing into the streets.
City Council, Committee of the Whole
- The council is presenting an order to urge Amazon to meet with the city of Malden if it considers expanding into the city. It cites the pandemic’s effects on the retail business in Malden and the need for sustainable growth and community standards for delivery and e-commerce.
