Bridgewater Student From Mansfield Charged With Vandalizing Bear
Campus police said they were dealing with a large crowd of about 350 students, running towards Boyden Hall during the Red Sox celebration.

BRIDGEWATER, MA — Two Bridgewater State University students were arrested after police said they knocked over two bear sculptures on campus following the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series.
The celebrations took place after midnight Monday. Campus police said they were dealing with a large crowd of about 350 students. The crowd started running towards administrative building Boyden Hall.
About a half-dozen of those students decided to start knocking down the statues of the school mascot, campus Police Chief David Tillinghast to the Brockton Enterprise.

Video surfaced of the vandalism on social media. Police used the videos to identify and arrest Cullen Murphy, 20, of Mansfield and Brian Cerow, 18, of Hopedale
Cerow and Murphy were both charged with vandalizing property, malicious destruction of property over $1,200 and disorderly conduct. They were scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Brockton District Court.
