Driver in Mansfield Crash Admits to Drunken Driving
John M. Pucci, 25, was ordered to two years of probation.

MANSFIELD, MA - A North Attleboro man who led police in Mansfield on a high-speed chase that ended in a crash last week has pleaded guilty to driving while drunk and possessing two grams of cocaine.
John M. Pucci, 25, was ordered to two years of probation by Judge Neil Hourihan in Attleboro District Court, according to the Sun Chronicle. Prosecutors had requested a six-month jail term.
Pucci was also ordered to take alcohol driver education and pay a $250 fine for various charges.

On Jan. 27, Pucci took police on a chase through town, reaching 100 mph at some points. The pursuit ended after his vehicle struck the Canoe River bridge abutment and flipped end over end, splitting into three sections. He was transported to Boston Medical Center.
If Pucci completes all the terms of the probation, his probation could be dropped after a year.
