Fire Engine Burst Into Flames At Station, 2 Firefighters Injured
Along with the truck, medical supplies, gear, and two ambulances took significant smoke and water damage at the firehouse.

MANSFIELD, MA — Two firefighters were hospitalized on Wednesday morning after a fire engine burst into flames, causing a two-alarm fire at the fire station.
Around 2:30 a.m., firefighters at the North Main Street were woken up by the sound of their smoke alarm, rushed to the garage, and found one of their fire engine engulfed in smoke and flames.
Fire officials said the fire was knocked down shortly before 3:30 a.m., but there was heavy damage. Along with the fire engine, medical supplies, gear, and two ambulances took significant smoke and water damage. Those two ambulances had to be taken out of service indefinitely. Two firefighter were taken to the hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.

The state fire marshal has been brought in to help with the investigation of the blaze.
Firefighters from Norton, North Attleboro, Foxboro, Plainville, Easton and Sharon all assisted either at the firehouse, or covered the other station on Plymouth Street.
