Mansfield Football Comes in Strong in Preseason Poll

Mansfield once again ranks among the best teams in Massachusetts.

The expectations will continue to be high when the Mansfield Hornets kick off the 2014 football season in September. With football season around the corner, preseason rankings are starting to come out and once again the Hornets find themselves as one of the top teams in the state.

In the recently released preseason Top 25 from ESPN Boston, Mansfield starts the season ranked number four and as the highest ranked team in Division 2.

In their notes, the website praises the Hornets’ passing game led by tight end/wide receiver Brendan Hill and their ability to switch to a power running game after Hill’s injury late last season.
