Mansfield Man Gets Maximum Jail Time For Break-Ins

MANSFIELD, MA — A Mansfield man was given more time behind bars after admitting to being the person behind a series of break-ins.

Matthew R. Paige, 27, was sentenced in Attleboro District Court to concurrent two-and-a-half-year jail terms, the maximum sentence from a district court judge, according to the Sun Chronicle. Once he's released, he will have to wear a GPS bracelet for two years.

Paige is currently serving a jail sentence for a break-in in Stoughton. He was arrested in February after police found him in Easton with items from one of the Mansfield break-ins.

Police say the Mansfield break-ins took place on Warren Avenue, Bella Vista Avenue, West Street and Rumford Avenue. In Stoughton, Paige attempted house break-ins around the Pinecrest area. Police said the man ran from two homes when residents answered the door.
