Mansfield Police Log: Larceny, Robbery, and More

December 8

1:07 a.m. - During a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 140 and Chauncy Street, a 28-year-old man from Providence, R.I. received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

9:42 a.m. - During a traffic stop on School Street, a 36-year-old man from Pawtucket, R.I. received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and not having a license in possession.

December 9

11:39 a.m. - Joseph Ogenor, 48, of Mansfield, turned himself in for an incident on Bicentennial Court and was charged with larceny over $250, check forgery, and uttering a false

1:18 p.m. - A 911 call reported a suspicious man who approached people at Inequest on Forbes Boulevard. The caller said he found the man suspicious because when he was approached, the man said “If you’re a cop, arrest me or let me go.” The man, identified as John Lamotte, 51, of Bradford, R.I., was arrested on a warrant.

5:43 p.m. - During a traffic stop at the intersection of Franklin Street and Pine Needle Lane, a 33-year-old man from Mansfield received a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

December 10

1:28 a.m. - During a traffic stop on Route 140, a 31-year-old woman from Norton received a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

12:25 p.m. - A caller told police he was robbed near the tattoo parlor on North Main Street. He said he was pulled into the building, put up against a wall by two men, and was told to give them all his money. An officer spoke with someone who was in the area at the time of the incident and another reported an employee exiting the back of the building and pacing something in his vehicle.
