Mansfield Schools to Need $17.5 Million for Improvements Over Next 10 Years
The findings come from a report presented at a recent meeting of the finance and school committees.

A new report commissioned by the town says the Mansfield Public Schools will need about $17.5 million in capital improves over the next 10 years.
The reported, presented at a recent meeting of the finance and school committees, says that about $8.72 million alone will come from improvements to HVAC systems according to the Sun Chronicle. The other half include improvements to fire safety, electrical systems, exteriors fixings, roofing, elevators, and plumbing.
Mansfield High School is expected to have the most work at $6.4 million, Qualters Middle School will need $4.67 million, $3.39 for the Jordan/Jackson School, $2.35 million for the Robinson School, and $688,000 for Roland Green Pre-School.

The number came as a relief for finance committee Chairman Steve Schoonveld, who said he expected the total to be closer to $30 million.
