Mansfield Selectmen Vote to Shift Tax Rate
Residents will pay $15.51 per $1,000 assessed valuation, a decrease of 26 cents and businesses will pay 20.76, an increase of 31 cents.

The new split tax rate for fiscal year 2015 will see businesses pay a bit more and residents a bit less in taxes.
The selectmen voted 4-1 on Wednesday night to shift the tax rate from 1.21 to 1.24 percent for residential and commercial properties according to the Sun Chronicle.
Selectman Olivier Kozlowski was the lone no vote, stating that he would have prefered an even tax rate.

Compared to other towns, North Attleboro saw a 6.6 percent increase and Easton and Norton saw values go up by five percent.
Board of Assessors Chairman Greg Matoian had recommended keeping the split tax rate at 1.21 percent but Selectman Jess Aptowitz was against keeping a rate that lowered taxes for businesses but raised them for residents.
