Mansfield Woman Dies in Route 495 Rollover Crash
A Mansfield woman is dead after a rollover crash on Route 495.

A Mansfield woman has died from injuries sustained in a rollover crash on Route 495 on Tuesday night.
Elizabeth O’Connor, 54, was ejected from her vehicle during the crash and passed away after being transported to Rhode Island Hospital according to the Massachusetts State Police.
Last evening, at approximately 6:54 p.m., troopers from the State Police Barracks in Foxboro responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Route 495 South before Exit 11 in Mansfield. Upon arrival, troopers discovered that a 2000 Dodge Neon had been traveling in left lane and for reasons still under investigation, had lost control.

At some point, the Dodge made contact with a 2001 Isuzu Trooper. During the collision, the Dodge left the roadway, rolled, and the driver, O’Connor, was ejected.
The driver of the Isuzu Trooper was not injured.

The left two lanes of I-495 were closed during the incident. The remaining facts and circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by troopers from the Foxboro Barracks. Troop H Headquarters, Mansfield Fire Department, Norton Fire Department and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, all assisted on scene.
