North Main Street Roadwork Nearing End
The project should be done by mid-May according to Town Manager Bill Ross.

MANSFIELD, MA - Road work in the downtown area should be done by mid-May, according to Town Manager Bill Ross.
Ross told the selectmen Wednesday that milling on North Main Street was completed on April 6 with pothole repairs to be done by Monday. On April 28 and 29, workers level the road with casting adjustments to take place in the first week of May.
The final paving will take place in mid-May.

Selectman Jess Aptowitz commented that the project was taking too long, noting that they were told it would take two weeks.
"I’ve gotten a million calls from people are not happy," he said.

"We are moving as fast as we can," Ross replied.
In other road work news, some underground work on the Safe Routes School Project was done during the recent school break. Shoulder work and limited road widening will start on April 25 with actual street reconstruction taking place during the summer break.
