Plainville Man Accused of Hit and Run After Striking Motorcyclist With Vehicle

A Plainville man that allegedly left the scene of an accident after hitting a motorcycle has been arrested by Mansfield Police.

Frank Sicilia was charged with leaving the scene of personal injury, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, and leaving the scene of property damage.

Police were made aware of the accident after receiving numerous 911 calls around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday concerning an injured motorcyclist near Town News on North Main Street.

After callers said that the offending vehicle left the scene, a search for the vehicle and operator began. He was found with the help of the public and arrested a short time later in a restaurant on North Main Street.

The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Sturdy Hospital.

Sicilia was arranged in Attleboro District Court Monday morning according to the Sun Chronicle.
