Planning Board Reverses Vote on $15 Million Project

Developer Marco Crugnale has been granted a special permit needed for the project known as North Common Estates.

In a reversal of a previous vote, the Mansfield Planning Board will now give developer Marco Crugnale a special permit to build a 42-unit building in an area zoned for commercial use.

Part of the $15 million project known as North Common Estates, the board voted 6-1 to grant the permit Wednesday night according to the Sun Chronicle. The board has previously awarded the permit for a second building with commercial space and 39 units.

In the initial vote, only four members of the board voted for the special permit, which needed a minimum of five votes to pass.
