Police Log: Assault, Shoplifting, and More

April 20

3:40 p.m. - A caller told police they were hit by another driver who continued down School Street. Norton police located the vehicle on North Main Street. The driver, a 27-year-old female from North Attleboro, received a summons for leaving the scene of property damage.

6:57 p.m. - Kohl’s at Mansfield Crossing reported a woman with a large amount of stolen merchandise. Samantha Sanchez, 20, of Mission, TX, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250 by a single scheme.

April 21

10:37 a.m. - A 33-year-old male from Hartford, CT received a summons for a hit and run on Oxford Road.

1:14 p.m. - A 27-year-old from Mansfield was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

7:52 p.m. - A 34-year-old female from Mansfield received a summons on Chauncy Street for having an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, number plate violation to conceal ID, and having an unregistered motor vehicle.

April 22

3:04 p.m. - Police received a report of a male who kicked and shattered a glass door at New England Counseling on South Main Street. An officer reported that the male became violent after a request for a prescription was denied by a doctor. The male, a 28-year-old from Plainville, received a summons for malicious destruction of property over $250 and disorderly conduct.

8:54 p.m. - A caller on West Street told police that her vehicle was taken without her permission. The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old from North Attleboro, received a summons for use of a motor vehicle without authority.
