Police Log: Shoplifting, OUI, and More

March 25

10:13 a.m. - A 55-year-old female from Mansfield received a summons on Pratt Street for uttering a false check and larceny by check over $250.

March 26

8:32 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop near Congregational Church of Mansfield on West Street, a 42-year-old female from Mansfield received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to yield at an intersection.

March 29

12:58 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop by Mansfield Service Inc. on Chauncy Street, a 35-year-old male from Mansfield received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license

3:05 p.m. - A caller reported an erratic operator near the intersection of Plain Street and Lakeview Avenue. The caller observed the vehicle go over a curb and nearly strike a tree. When police responded, Janet Gill, 56, of Plainville, was arrested and charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle, not having a license in possession, and operating under the influence of liquor.

6:08 p.m. - A caller reported a shoplifting in progress at Kohl’s on School Street. Joshua Goodwin, 28, of Mansfield, was arrested at Kohl’s on School Street and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
