Police Log: Turkeys Slow Down Traffic, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, and More

October 12

10:29 a.m. - A summons was issued on North Main Street to a 29-year-old female for operating a motor vehicle with revoked registration, having an uninsured motor vehicle, having an unregistered motor vehicle, not having an inspection sticker, having a cracked windshield, and not having a license in her possession.

8:37 p.m. - After receiving a call in the area of High Street near Dean Street, police placed a 37-year-old male from Mansfield in protective custody.

October 13

12:34 p.m. - The reporting party told police that there was a suspicious vehicle on West Street. The vehicle was was also in the same location a few days ago and appeared to be broken down. The reporting party requested an investigation.

When an officer spoke to the operator of the car, she said that she ran out of gas and her car had broken down in the area before. A friend was helping her get gas.

4:08 p.m. - A caller reported that a large gathering of turkeys on the median at the intersection if Chauncy Street and Route 140 South was slowing down traffic. The gathering was dispersed into the woods.

5:27 p.m. - While checking the area around the Holiday Inn on Hampshire Street, police arrested and charged Damian White, 36, of Medfield, with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, leaving the scene of property damage, and with a warrant.

October 14

6:10 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Chauncy Street and Giles Place, Maria Calkins, 37, of Brockton, was arrested with two warrants and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, having an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with revoked registration.

10:40 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Chauncy Street, a summons was issued to a 28-year-old female for operating with revoked registration and having an uninsured vehicle.
