Selectmen Approve $1.1 Million Project for Mansfield School Area
The project is designed to make walking to and from school safer.

New sidewalks, drop off areas, and a redesigned intersection on Hope Street could make going to and from school in Mansfield a lot easier.
Wednesday night, the Mansfield selectmen signed agreements for state and federally funded improvements on East Street according to the Sun Chronicle. The cost of the project is $1.1 million with the town contributing $200,000 in the form of road improvements.
Town Manager Bill Ross said the work is designed to improve the safety of children going to and leaving the Mansfield schools and bids are already coming in.
