Selectmen Meeting to Address Dogs Found in Condo Cancelled
A selectmen meeting to address the discovery of seven dogs in a Mansfield condo has been called off.

A selectmen meeting scheduled on Sept. 24 to address the discovery and removal of seven dogs from a Mansfield condo has been cancelled.
Tracey Whalen, the assistant to selectmen, told the Sun Chronicle that the board cancelled the meeting due to “pending legal issues” associated with the case of David Aristide, who was arrested on animal cruelty charges in Quincy and resided in the condo where the dogs were found.
At last week’s meeting of the selectmen, Chairman George Dentino said he was going to schedule a meeting to give the public an update on the situation and clear the air of any misinformation that was floating around while not interfering with the legal case against Aristide.

On Sept. 9, Aristide was arrested and charged with keeping 12 dogs in squalid conditions in the basement of a dilapidated home in Quincy. Two days later, acting on a tip from Quincy Police, Mansfield Police entered the condo Aristide was renting at 21 East St., Unit 3D and discovered seven dogs.
