An accident involving three Holbrook residents early this morning at Exit 13 at the intersection of I-95 and I-495 in Foxboro sent the driver and passenger of one car to Rhode Island Hospital, where conditions on the two were just released this evening.
According to State Police, a 6:39 a.m. crash involving a 1995 Mercury Sable sedan, driven by Robert W. Benson Jr., 56 from Holbrook, rolled over into a group of trees in the median. Benson's passenger, Stacy M. Bowen, 31, also from Holbrook, was ejected from the car and sustained serious injuries. A 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Paul Gunn, 57, yet another Holbrook resident, was also involved at the scene, but Gunn was uninjured in the incident.
In a telephone interview earlier today with Mansfield Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini, he stated Benson's car, traveling northbound on I-495, apparently hit a snow bank and flipped over, coming to rest between trees off the highway.
