A Popping Noise Then A Flash Illuminates Bedroom

Sunday, April 28
- At 01:03 a.m., kids were putting police tape across the road at Atlantic Avenue and Preston Beach Road. The tape was taken down.
- At 9:30 a.m., police received a report of a stolen red Jamos mountain bike, taken from the rear of the high school.
- At 2:20 p.m., a car drove into a fence on South Street. The incident was possibly related to a diabetic reaction. A person was transported to the hospital.
- At 3:19 p.m., police received a report stating a handbag was stolen earlier in the day on Washington Street.
Monday, April 29
- At 1:03 p.m., it appeared that someone had taken a hatchet to a tree on Ellen Road.
- At 2:31 p.m., police received a report of identity theft on Cloutmans Lane.

- At 00:39 a.m., a Washington Street resident reported hearing a popping noise after which a light lit up his entire bedroom. The caller was unsure if the popping came from fireworks.
- At 06:05 a.m., an Evans Road caller reported that the passenger-side window on a vehicle was smashed and a wallet and phone were taken. The wallet was found in the garden at an Evans Road residence. Nothing was missing from the wallet.
- At 10:23 a.m., a bicyclist struck a tree and fell off his bike on Mohawk Road. The person was transported to the hospital.
- At 11 a.m., a Middle Street caller said that he heard someone come into his house. The caller said he heard someone call out "Hey dogs," and when he went downstairs the man was gone. Police searched the area.
- At 11:04 a.m., police received a report of a purse being stolen from a car on Jersey Street overnight.
- At 2:26 p.m., a Franklin Street caller said she was being harassed by a neighbor.
- At 4:07 p.m., a hit and run was reported on Humphrey Street.
