Art Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Barbara Naeser

The fresh, bright, colorful paintings of Barbara Naeser will be on display at the Centennial Gallery in the Musculoskeletal Center in Peabody from August 31- September 27, 2014.

Barbara Naeser, a Marblehead resident, is an artist member of the Marblehead, Swampscott, Salem and Newburyport Art Associations, and is also a juried Crafts member of the MAA. She has won numerous awards throughout the North Shore for her paintings, and has exhibited at many arts festivals and invitational exhibits as well. She maintains a studio at Brushstrokes Gallery in Marblehead, and is also associated with the North Shore Atelier.

“I don’t have to look very far to find inspiration for a painting,” Naeser says. “My choice of subjects is a personal challenge and unique to me, ranging from figures in a landscape, mostly family, to Tonka trucks, old stockpots, even gym balls…. playful objects from everyday life. They all have a personal significance. I have developed my own style, which continues to evolve. I love color and composition. My paintings are fresh, happy paintings; with strong bright colors, and loose brush strokes. There is an immediacy about my paintings that gives them a contemporary flare.”

The Centennial Gallery is located in the Musculoskeletal Center at 4 Centennial Drive in Peabody. Centennial Gallery is open weekdays from 9:00a - 5:00p and, on weekends, from 9:00a - 4:30p.
