Bobbie says “As a painter, writer, musician and performer, I have always had the same goal: to take my viewers momentarily out of their world. I am not an impressionist; I have a very specific viewpoint I want to share. Whether I am writing about an incident that happened in New York City, composing a song, portraying an historical person, painting a boat, a human or an animal, I want my viewers to get a clear understanding of the ‘character’ of whatever I am portraying, i.e. “How cold was the fog over the harbor? Is that dog a couch potato? Was that a spirited horse? How many oceans has that ship seen? How did I feel about the person for whom I wrote this song/instrumental?” The fun in it is in transferring information from my senses to the viewer’s.”
